In this sermon on meekness, we're invited to redefine our understanding of strength. The Beatitude 'Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth' challenges our worldly perceptions. Meekness isn't weakness; it's strength under divine control. Like a powerful warhorse submitting to its rider, we're called to submit our strength to God's guidance. This message draws parallels between Christ's humility in becoming human and our journey towards meekness. We're reminded that true strength lies not in asserting ourselves, but in yielding to God's will. As we embrace this paradox, we find rest for our souls and discover a new way of living that reflects Christ's character. This teaching urges us to consider: Where in our lives are we trying to be strong on our own? How can we surrender control and find strength in God's leadership?
